Marty is an endlessly versatile sewing pattern with an impressive 150 possible variations. Designed to adapt to any occasion or season, Marty can be made as a tiered top, tunic, or dress with the option of a curved hem for added detail.
Choose from five sleeve styles: sleeveless, short sleeve, shirt sleeve, ¾ sleeve, or long sleeve with an elasticated cuff. Three collar options include a Mandarin collar, a classic shirt collar, and a distinctive double shirt collar. Buttoning options include a polo-style placket or a classic placket, either partial or full-length.
With so many combinations to explore, Marty is a pattern that truly goes the distance.
Important to Know: I AM Patterns are designed to be traced off. The different pieces overlap with each other so you will need to trace the pattern on paper. This means that you will be able to make multiple sizes of the garment and adjust the pattern as you trace it if necessary. For this you could use tracing paper, baking parchment, thin wrapping paper; or we can supply you with some spot and cross pattern paper.

With so many possibilities, it is impossible to list the yardage for all versions in all sizes. Below we indicate the yardage for three versions (A11, C1 et J10). To calculate the fabric required for the other versions, refer to step 2 of the instructions (Cutting the fabric).

- 1″ (2,5 cm) wide elastic: 27″ (70cm) maximum
Versions: This pattern can be made in 150 versions! The different options are:
